Elton John and 'True Blood' Creator Plan Musical Pilot For HBO
. (Radio.com) Elton John plans to take fans to 18th century Vienna with his latest project. John is writing a pilot for HBO alongside True Blood and Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball called Virtuoso. According to Variety, the one-hour musical drama will follow "a class of musical prodigies from all across Europe at the prestigious Academy of Musical Excellence." And yes, will include musical numbers. The show, which John will also produce alongside his new husband, David Furnish, will star Peter Macdissi, who previously appeared on Six Feet Under and True Blood. Read more here.
