Tom Cruise Explains Wild Stunt He Did For New Mission Impossible Film
. The 53-year old actor, no stranger to doing his own action scenes, taking on a death defying stunt in the film. Cruise, reprising his role as Ethan Hunt in the spy thriller, is seen hanging from an Airbus A400 flying 200 hundred feet in the air at 250 miles an hour, revealing to AJ he didn't even tell his family about the stunt, "I did not tell my family, I did not tell anyone." Tom instead showing his mother the footage on a recent trip to San Francisco, "I showed her, we had some cut footage, and I showed her that and she was like, she's had it her whole life with me, my mother's southern and she's like, oh my Lord..oh Lordie.. oh, oh sweet Jesus., oh sweet Jesus, Tom is that, honey.. honey.. is that you, is that you, oh my Lord.. I'm so glad you didn't tell me about this one." The stunt taking eight takes to get right, Cruise calling it "intense' and admitting he did have second thoughts as he clung to the side of the plane, "There was a moment I was going down the runway, I was like maybe this wasn't such a good idea." He laughed, "Oh sh**, oh sh**!" Cruise explaining the scene was very well crafted but there is always the what if, "There were so many things that could potentially go wrong."
