Lil Wayne Show Canceled After Entourage 'Refused' To Be Searched
. According to Billboard, the Minneapolis, Minnesota venue, simply called the Venue, revealed that the rapper 'elected not to perform after members of his entourage refused to take part in the Venue's standard safety procedures." In a statement on Facebook, the venue reveals that their "standard safety procedures" include "conduct[ing] an exterior pat-down and metal detection on each person entering The Venue, and to confirm each party's age and identity by requesting and reviewing a state-issued ID card." The venue also says these procedures are not just for performers, but for anyone entering the club. They explain that Wayne did not refuse the procedures and was allowed into the venue, "only those members, were refused entry into the club," but, "despite the fact that Lil Wayne was permitted entry, the stage was set up to his specifications, and he otherwise appeared ready to perform, he made the decision that he would not perform as scheduled."
