Singled Out: Roxy Roca's Try My Love

. Today Taye Cannon and Errol Siegel from Roxy Roca tell us about their new single "Try My Love" which comes from their recently released album "Ain't Nothing Fancy". Here is the story:

Taye Cannon: "Try My Love" is a club banger and a man's declaration to the ladies! Every man can relate to this song because it's a feeling that we've all had at some point in our journey: "I am the only man for you, and you won't find better anywhere!" In fact, based on some conversations I have had with lady friends, this song exudes the exact kind of confidence that women often wish for. It's derivative of the early 70s funk of James Brown, oozing with swagger and sexual-love-power. TML is the kind of song you just wanna crank when you are getting ready to go out on the town with your friends. Crank it!

Errol Siegel: The first video we made as a band was for this song. We shot it with Josh and Nick Holdenfrom MISHNOON, who we later worked with on the "Love Maker DeVille" video. We didn't have much of a budget, so we just invited a bunch of friends out to one of our favorite Austin hangouts (The Blackheart) and let 'er rip. It was really more of a party than a video shoot. Watch for appearances from Elise Avellan (best known for her roles in Grindhouse and Machete) and B-Boy Recon & The Fresh Collection Break Dancers.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you watch the video here and learn more about the album right here!
