. Black sang lead vocals in place of Gary Cherone while Fallon handled guitar duties and backup vocals originally performed by Nuno Bettencourt. "More Than Words" appeared on the Boston band's second album, 1990's "Extreme II: Pornograffitti (A Funked Up Fairy Tale)." The project put Extreme on the map as the tune hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, selling more than 500,000 copies. The album peaked at No. 10 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to double-platinum status for 2 million copies sold.
