(Radio.com) Last week B.B. King died of natural causes. Eric Clapton is just one of many musicians mourning the loss of one of the greatest blues guitarists the world has ever known.

Clapton let the world know how he's feeling in a video he uploaded to Facebook on Friday (May 15), in which he eulogizes King's passing and urges his audience to listen to his music.

'He was a beacon for all of us who love this kind of music," says Clapton in the video. 'If you're not familiar with his work, I would encourage you to go out and find an album called B.B. King Live at the Regal, which is where it all really started for me as a young player."

He goes on to add that King's music has become a "thing of the past." Clapton and King released a collaborative album in 2000 called Riding With the King. Read more and watch the video here.
