"Emergency," out today (May 26), is the newest single from the Sweden dance duo, and roars in with a rapid tempo, bouncing beat from the start, both Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo and commanding listeners to "shake that a-/ spinning 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round like that" before relenting to a soulful vocal and blaring saxophone--a part that may not be as infectious as last year's sex appeal-oozing "Talk Dirty" from Jason Derulo, but is in the same ballpark.
The new song is currently unattached to a major release of any sort, but don't be surprised if a new record is around the corner; This Is' Icona Pop hit stores in September 2013.
With "Emergency," the duo will attempt to top "I Love It," an international hit that surged to No. 7 in the U.S. and is currently their only Hot 100-charting song. Check out the new song - here.
