Willie Nelson And Merle Haggard Streaming 'Django & Jimmie' Album (Recap)

.
On Wednesday Willie Nelson And Merle Haggard Streaming 'Django & Jimmie' Album was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Perhaps you thought it was a joke at first that Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard were releasing a new joint album--not that the pairing was in itself strange, as the duo had recorded together before beginning on 1983's Pancho & Lefty collaboration record, but since the release was ushered in with the debut of one of its singles, "It's All Going to Pot," on, naturally, April 20. Would not at all have been surprising if it was merely the in-joke of two old friends on 4/20.

But as it happens, Nelson and Merle's Django and Jimmie is quite real--and now it's streaming in full on NPR's First Listen a week early. The album is out June 2 in full.

Django & Jimmie marks the duo's six collaborative album, with production this time around by Buddy Cannon. It's a tribute to early country music legend Jimmie Rodgers and to guitar virtuoso Django Reinhardt. Read more and grab the stream link - here.
