(Radio.com) Gwen Stefani was interviewed by Radio.com affiliate station Mix 104.1 in Boston where the topic turned to her relationship with fellow Voice judge Blake Shelton, and the questions along those lines seemed a bit alarming to Stefani.
When asked about rumors that she is recording a country song, she said, "That, I cannot answer. But what I will say is, I can't believe how we live in a time where.. like, the internet is crazy! Anyone can just say anything, and it can become reality."
When told that her relationship with Shelton had been confirmed by a spokesperson to Us Weekly, she seemed slightly taken off guard. "You know what? I never said anything! I don't know where that statement came from! Like, that's crazy! How embarrassing."
She did reference, in a veiled way, her relationship with Shelton in the interview: "It feels like I've been in this cocoon and I've been ready to bust out, for many reasons. And there's been loads of people around me who have come to help and make me feel like a new person and uplift me. There's… incredible friends who have gone through similar things at the same time. It's incredible how God works and places people to help you through tough times." Shelton and Stefani both went through very public divorces at about the same time. Read more here.
