The three-hour event features a star studded cast that includes Mary J. Blige (as the Wicked Witch of the West), Common (as the Bouncer), Ne-Yo (as the Tin Man), Elijah Kelley (as the Scarecrow) David Alan Grier (as the Cowardly Lion), and Queen Latifah (as the Wiz).

The Wiz is an urbanized reimagining of the classic tale The Wizard of Oz. The musical won the 1975 Tony Award for Best Musical. Based on the theatrical success, a film was released in 1978 featuring an equally impressive cast, including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Lena Horne.
