Mayer took to Twitter to express his appreciation on Sunday (Oct. 4). He capped off a series of tweets and high praise by crowning her set as a work of "whack genius."

Mayer quoted a line from the song, "Lighter" ('We never get to see ourselves sleeping peacefully next to the ones that we love" ) from Dead Petz to set the tone for his forthcoming loveliest.

'I'm totally transfixed by this Miley Cyrus album," he tweeted. 'This is why I love music." He wasn't just feeling the love, he was bent on sharing it. "You can be one artist one year and the next discover some crazy light inside yourself and shine it everywhere," he continued. 'You can't try to make something like this. You just tap the vein and don't question a single instinct."
