Foo Fighters Record Five New Songs While In Austin
. "You know what I did last night?", Dave Grohl asked the crowd during a show at Zilker Park on Friday. "I recorded a f***ing song in your beautiful city of Austin, Texas. And I'm just gonna say it now: We recorded five f***ing new songs in your beautiful city of Austin, Texas. We're gonna give it to you, but not tonight." The Foo Fighters previously recorded material in Austin for 2014's "Sonic Highways" album, which saw the group hit studios in 8 US cities for the project. The October 9 concert was the group's second headlining show in the Texas city in a week following an October 2 appearance on the festival's opening weekend; many of the same artists performed at both sessions. The Foo Fighters are winding down a North American tour, which will wrap up in Castaic, CA on October 18 before the band launches a 2-week European swing in Amsterdam on November 5.
