R .Kelly Raises Money For Former Teacher About To Lose Home
. The R&B star recalls the first day of school where McLin made him come to the front of the class to sing 'You Are So Beautiful." She then forced him to be in the upcoming talent show where he performed Stevie Wonder's hit, 'Ribbon In The Sky." Kelly learned that the 87 year old McLin, who is retired, was having financial difficulty keeping her longtime apartment, which is being converted into condos, and which she couldn't afford on her teachers pension. So he scheduled a Chicago stop specifically for the benefit concert to raise funds.
