(Radio.com) The Queens of the Stone Age performed a surprise concert last Thursday night in Los Angeles at the Teragram Ballroom after nearly a year hiatus from the stage. Rather than have another band as the opening act, comedian Bill Burr fulfilled that role.

Frontman Josh Homme announced the event on his Beats 1 radio show the day prior. According to Alternative Nation, Queens of the Stone Age had quite the audience for what turned out to be a rather intimate performance.

Arctic Monkeys' frontman Alex Turner, Parts Unknown host Anthony Bourdain, and former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri were spotted in the audience.

The set included a whopping 17 songs, but the band didn't try out any new material on attendees. Queens at the Stone Age will next perform at the Rock in Rio festival in late September. Check out the setlist here.
