David Gilmour Goes Behind The Scenes Of 'Rattle That Lock' Album
. The set was recorded at various places, including Gilmour's Astoria houseboat studio and in Hove, Sussex, UK. The project was first previewed with the release of the title track. "The song 'Rattle That Lock' was inspired, musically, by the sound that's played on French railway stations," says Gilmour. "Before they make an announcement - a 4-note jingle is played. Every time I heard it, it would make me want to start dancing." Gilmour launched the Rattle That Lock tour in Pula, Croatia on September 12. The first stop of a sold-out 11-date European tour was held at the city's Arena - an ancient Roman Amphitheatre built between 27BC - 68AD - following a September 5 warm-up show in Brighton, UK.
