Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor says in a new interview that he was lucky with his recent spinal surgery. He tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "I also beat the odds with spinal surgery. If I hadn't caught it, I would be paralyzed. The doctor told me that not too long ago, which scared the crap out of me. So I am extremely lucky, and I know it doesn't show a lot, but I am very grateful for what I have. I'm humbled by the success, and it just makes me hungry for more." "About a month before we left for our South Africa tour in 2014, [Affiance drummer] Patrick [Galante] and I were at a bar, and Toto's 'Africa' came on," singer Dennis Tvrdik told New Noise.
