Ewan McGregor And Gary Oldman Perform At David Bowie Tribute

(Radio.com) It's been almost a month since David Bowie passed away, but tributes to the late icon are picking up steam in advance of next week's GRAMMY Awards.

In Los Angeles, actors Ewan McGregor and Gary Oldman joined musicians Seal and Fishbone's Angelo Moore for performances dedicated to Bowie. Billboard reports that McGregor's performance of "Heroes" was tinged by vague Bono-esque phrasing.

McGregor famously sang Bowie's "Heroes" with Nicole Kidman in Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film, Moulin Rouge. McGregor also played a fictionalized character based on Iggy Pop and Lou Reed opposite actor Jonathan Ryhs Meyers' portrayal of Bowie in Todd Haynes' 1998 art-house film, Velvet Goldmine. Oldman performed lead vocals on "The Man Who Sold the World," the title track from Bowie's 1970 album. Read more here.
