(hennemusic) Swedish rockers Ghost have launched a campaign directed at the US music industry as they seek support for their first Grammy Awards nomination for "Cirice", the lead single from the band's latest album, "Meliora."

A finalist in the Best Metal Performance category at next month's event in Los Angeles, the song goes up against Slipknot's "Custer", Lamb Of God's "512", "Thank You" by Sevendust and "Identity" by August Burns Red.

Ghost are running print ads in various music industry magazines and released a companion video targeted at members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) - the people who vote on the Grammys.

Using the social media hashtag #DontBeSilenced, the print ad reads: "Greetings faithful brothers and sisters. Your reading this voting guide is proof of your commitment. If you are unsure, cast off your doubts now. There is but one choice.

"For the vote you are about to cast is but one small yet essential moment in your spiritual revolution. Shhh... listen. Do you hear it? The terrible silence of the ignorant? The mistrust and anger of the masses?

"There is not much time, for the closing of this conclave is upon us. It is now for you to consider... Ghost." Read more here.
