(Radio.com) Not only doctors make house calls. Missy Elliot surprised a fan by appearing at her home in Atlanta over the weekend. According to BET, Kiera Nelson AKA Miss Haze, wrote a poem last October for the Individual World Poetry Slam in Washington, D.C. 'For Color Girls (The Missy Elliott Poem)," which was inspired by Elliott's 1997 track 'I Can't Stand the Rain."

After a video of Nelson performing the piece in Boston last year went viral, Elliot sent a congratulatory message and and also called the poet. But the ultimate surprise came when Elliot showed up at her house.

'I didn't think she would show up," said Nelon. "But at 9 p.m. there was a knock on my door. There were two women outside who said they had a surprise for me and five seconds later Missy was standing there. The tweets would have been enough, the phone call would have been enough, but to personally show up at my doorstep is amazing." Read more here.
