Pearl Jam, RHCP, Stevie Wonder Lead New Orleans Jazz Fest Lineup

. (Radio.com) New Orleans Jazz Fest announced its 2016 lineup today (Jan. 19), which features numerous big names. In addition to Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the 47th Jazz Fest will see Snoop Dogg, J. Cole, Paul Simon, Gary Clark Jr., Lauryn Hill, Beck, Van Morrison and a host of others perform at the event.

Held over seven days between April 22 and May 1, the 2016 line-up includes a strong balance of newer and established artists. Then, of course, there are New Orleans staples like Trombone Shorty as well as Jon Batiste & Stay Human who will take part this year.

The festival will also hold a tribute to Allen Toussaint, who passed away in November. Toussaint helped define and shape New Orleans music, so a Jazz Fest memorial is entirely fitting. Check out the preliminary announcement here.
