(hennemusic) Def Leppard were forced to postpone Wednesday's launch of their US tour due to illness within the group. While the group did not provide further details regarding the health issue, frontman Joe Elliott was recently forced to sit out part of the band's inaugural "Hysteria On The High Seas" cruise after coming down with "severe laryngitis."

"The Def Leppard concert scheduled to take place at the Greensboro Coliseum on Wednesday January 27 has been postponed due to illness," announced the band. "A new date will be announced soon. Please continue to hold on to your tickets as tickets purchased for the January concert will be honored on the new date - no exchange necessary."

Unable to perform a January 23 show on the cruise, several rockers filled in for Elliott - including Last In Line's Andrew Freeman, Mr. Big's Eric Martin and Winger's Kip Winger - with some additional help from Def Leppard guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell. Read more here.
