Vince Neil Headed To Trial For Battery Charge
.
(hennemusic) Former Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has plead not guilty to a charge of misdemeanor battery in an alleged incident in Las Vegas, NV on April 7. Neil is accused of dragging an autograph seeker to the ground by her hair during a lunch with actor Nicolas Cage at the Aria Hotel. At the time, TMZ reported that the alleged altercation was caught on surveillance video from inside the hotel and reviewed by police before charges were laid. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Neil's attorney, David Chesnoff, entered the plea on behalf of the rocker during a brief arraignment hearing on Wednesday. "We're going to do our own investigation, which we've already started," said Chesnoff. "As always, I ask people not to prejudge situations until all the facts come in and we understand the totality of the circumstances." Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Cynthia Cruz set a trial date for September 19; Neil could face a maximum sentence of six months in jail if convicted, according to local police.
