Chance the Rapper Regrets Leaving Collaboration Off 'Coloring Book'

(Radio.com) It's the curse many an artist has experienced once they finally release a new project to the public: Wishing they could go back and make additional changes. Just ask Kanye West about the way he handled The Life of Pablo.


Chance the Rapper seems to be experiencing some self-doubt, which he expressed Thursday (June 9) on Twitter. "Listening to old versions of the songs from Coloring Book. Same Drugs had Regina Spektor on it," he wrote in a post. "Not using this may be my biggest mistake."

Chance's new mixtape Coloring Book includes all kinds of features, like Future, Young Thug, Justin Bieber and T Pain, but the track "Same Drugs" is a vocal song showcasing only him.

Listening to the version that made it onto the album, the track's piano--which acts as much as melody as rhythm--seems like an ideal spot for Spektor to shine, not to mention the added bonus her harmonies could have lent his singing. Read more here.
