'Nashville' Resurrected And Will Be Moving to CMT

(Radio.com) Fans of the television series Nashville can rest easy. Rather than face true cancellation, the show will be moving networks to CMT. ABC originally canceled the show in May after four seasons on the air. CMT and Lionsgate, the company behind Nashville, finalized the deal Thursday (June 9). It will include CMT airing new episodes, which Hulu will stream after broadcast, according to The Tennessean. Nashville's entire original cast, including Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Claire Bowen and Charles Esten, will return for the fifth season. But expect a new creative team behind the show.
