Amon Amarth On This Week's Wikimetal
. Mikkonen spoke about the band's upcoming album, "Jomsviking", about how Amon Amarth created its distinct sound and explained to us the current situation regarding the departure of their drummer Fredrik Andersson last year. About Andersson's departure: "I don't really want to go into details regarding Fredrik, but basically we just separated. Its kinda like a marriage that doesn't work and you get divorced and that's kinda what happened to our band. Right after that we started to work on our new album and we didn't wanna work with anybody we did not know so that's why we took in Tobias and he is an old friend of the band, we've known him for many many years. He was with us through the whole working process towards when the recording was finished. "Obviously he cannot do the upcoming dates so we have another guy that we are preparing for the upcoming tour. But it's so in early stages that I don't want to tell you who he is at this point but we are going to take it quiet easy and whoever is going to be, it's gonna be good. I have no worries."
