Frank Ocean Producer Talks Delayed New Album

(Radio.com) Frank Ocean has still not released the highly anticipated follow up to his debut album Channel Orange. The project was reportedly called Boys Don't Cry and was slated for release in July of 2015, but then nothing happened, and nothing was explained.

In a new interview with Pitchfork, producer James Ryan Ho, better know as Malay, discussed the long awaited project. "A lot of the stuff on this new album was done with a handheld mic sitting in the control room," said Malay.

"Frank's exploring different vibes completely on this album. I wouldn't say it's vocally looser but just his mentality; it doesn't seem as meticulous at certain times."
