Guns N' Roses Reveal Clue To Reunion Lineup

03/31/2016
.
(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses are a week away from launching their reunion shows in Las Vegas, and a new series of tweets has deepened the mystery of who will be behind the drum kit for the upcoming tour.

To date, the group has only officially announced the involvement of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, while it is expected that guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and drummer Frank Ferrer are also on board.

This week, Guns N' Roses issued a series of tweets with images of gear representing each player's role in the lineup, and a photo featuring Ahead brand drumsticks has raised further speculation about who will fill the drummer slot.

Hardcore GNR fans recognized Ahead drumsticks as ones previously used by Matt Sorum on the "Use Your Illusion" tour, but Sorum confirmed he now uses the Zildjian brand and longtime drummer Frank Ferrer confirmed for inquiring fans that he now uses Vater drumsticks.

Following Sorum and Ferrer's comments, speculation returns to the possible status of Steven Adler, who was fired from the band in 1990 over his heroin addiction.

Legendary Sunset Strip club the Whisky A Go- Go recently teased "a big announcement" regarding GNR following the cancellation of an upcoming gig by Adler.

The club tweeted: "The Steven Adler show on 4/1 has been canceled. Stay tuned for a big announcement ! #GunsNRoses." Read more here.
