Singled Out: Adelitas Way's Ready For War (Pray for Peace)
.
Adelitas Way recently released their new single "Ready for War (Pray for Peace)" and to celebrate we asked frontman Rick Dejesus to tell us the inspiration behind the new song. Here is the story: I wrote "Ready For War (Pray For Peace)" because I love this country and I love the soldiers who keeps us free, and the police officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe. The song was inspired by some of my best friends who have served our country in the military, and some are officers who put their lives on the line every day serving our community. With the media and government not showing nearly enough appreciation to our soldiers and officers - the job has become extremely thankless. I wrote the song from the mindset of these men, and myself being a father who protects a household of 3 girls. I want peace and love in this world, but with the monsters out there creating havoc and war, we must always be ready as a nation for anything. I see on a first hand basis how so many people take our soldiers and officers for granted, compared to what they risk for our safety and freedom. The song is from the perspective of us looking to keep the people and country we love protected for our children's children, and future generations. It's my way of saying Thanks to the men and women who keep us from harm on a daily basis. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the single right here!
