The xx Celebrate Texas Town In 'On Hold' Video
.
(Radio.com) The xx have debuted a new track and video for "On Hold," a catchy yet melodic track from their forthcoming album I See You, available January 13th 2017. The Alasdair McLellan directed video follows a group of teens as the come of age in the small West Texas town of Marfa. Both Jamie xx and Oliver Sim play a part in the video as they frolic about in an empty parking lot and have discussions on phones that are actually connected to the wall with wires. Remember those? Why Marfa, Texas? The band explains: It was filmed in Marfa, Texas, a very special place to us, where we wrote and recorded some of our new album. We have a lot of love and respect for the people of the USA, having played hundreds of shows across the country over the past years. We hope this video reflects just some of the warmth and acceptance we have encountered there. Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. advertisement |
