Melissa Manchester Releases New Chanukah Song and Video (Week in Review)
.
Melissa Manchester Releases New Chanukah Song and Video was a Top 3 story on Tuesday: Melissa Manchester has released a music video for her brand new Chanukah single "Let There Be More Light," which hit major digital music retailers on Monday. Manchester had the following to say about the new song, "The overall theme of 'Let There Be More Light' is that everyone can be a source of light - that is, a person of reason, compassion and understanding who makes a choice to do a good deed, a 'mitzvah,' every day, not just at holiday time. "Everyone knows 'Feliz Navidad' by Jose Feliciano. It's wonderfully simple, hummable and delightfully repetitive. I wanted to write a song as simple as that to celebrate Chanukah." The new video was directly by Paul Gervasi (Cherri Future) and features the Colorado Springs Children's Chorale, the students of Wise School and members of the ULV A Cappella Barbershop Club, the Citrus Singers and the Blue Note Orchestra.
