Jack White's A Prairie Home Companion Performance
.
(BH) Jack White's rare performance on the latest episode of A Prairie Home Companion with Chris Thile from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN this past week is now streaming online. We were sent these details: White's appearance on A Prairie Home Companion with Chris Thile saw him leading a crack acoustic combo comprised of bassist Dominic Davis, fiddler/backing vocalist Lillie Mae Rische and pedal steel guitarist Fats Kaplin though a four-song set that included renditions of The White Stripes' "City Lights" and The Raconteurs' "Carolina Drama" - both featured on the recently released JACK WHITE ACOUSTIC RECORDINGS: 1998-2016 (Third Man Records/Columbia). Chris Thile joined Jack and the band on "Carolina Drama." As if that weren't enough, the set also included a version of the country classic, "(Margie's At) The Lincoln Park Inn," penned by Tom T. Hall and a 1969 top 5 chart smash for Bobby Bare, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime duet performance of The White Stripes' "I'm Lonely (But I Ain't That Lonely Yet)" alongside Third Man recording artist Margo Price.
