.
(Radio.com) By now, fans know that Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is a huge music fan: '70s music via a mix tape that Star Lord (Chris Pratt) listened to on a figured heavily into the first film and the soundtrack topped the Billboard album charts and has been certified platinum. The sequel, which in mix tape style will be titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 , is set to be released next year, and Gunn has just posted the film's first poster. Some fans have noted that it has more than a passing similarity to the cover of the Ramones' third album, 1977's Rocket to Russia. One fan on Gunn's Facebook page posted an image of the Ramones' album, commenting, "Emphasis on the Rocket here," to which Gunn replied, "Precisely." Read more and look at both images here.
