Metallica Ask Fans To Pick Opening Act For Upcoming Shows (Week in Review)
.
Metallica Ask Fans To Pick Opening Act For Upcoming Shows was a Top 10 story on Thursday: Metallica have announced that they are letting their fans vote for the opening band for their upcoming three night stand in Mexico City on March 1st, 3rd and 5th. The thrash legend had this to say "We're having a blast hanging out with the best of the local music scene as we zig-zag across the globe, so just as we did with the recent run in Copenhagen and in some of our favorite Latin American countries in the Fall of last year, we're asking you to choose who you want to see take the stage first in Mexico City. "As you may know, our friend and musical icon Iggy Pop will be joining us there, but there's plenty of room for one more act!" The band has opening voting for ten local bands that fans will pick to open the shows. The poll will close on Friday (Feb 24th) and the winner will be announced next Monday. Read more - here.
