Billboard is reporting that Aerosmith has returned to the studio to record their new album that is expected to hit the streets in March. The band originally planed to use Matt Serletic to produce the disc but then changed their minds opting to have Steven Tyler and Joe Perry take the helm with the aid of Mark Hudson and Marti Frederiksen. Serletic produced "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" which hit No. 1 on the charts in 1998.

The new album will be Aerosmith's first studio album in four years, their last release was 1997's "Nine Lives". According to the Billboard report Aerosmith has already completed about 10 songs and plans to record a few more this fall, before going into the mixing stage in November.

On other Aerosmith fronts: Steven Tyler and Joe Perry recently attended a pre-season bash at the Foxwood Casino in Connecticut for the hit HBO series the Soprano's. Being big fans of the show the (former) toxic twins jumped at the chance, when their former producer Jack Douglas invited them to the fiesta. Douglas is producing the show's soundtrack. Will Aerosmith appear on it? The cat is still in the bag at this point.

While at the bash Joe and Steven got to hangout with Tony Soprano himself. (actor James Gandolfini) The dinner party was followed by a screening of the next year's season opener of the Soprano's and then the party proceeded to a featherweight title fight between champion Prince Hamed and Augie Sanchez.
