: Jay-Z pleads "Not Guilty"

Rap star Jay-Z appeared in the New York Criminal Court in Manhattan on February 22nd, and plead "not Guilty" to first and second degree assault charges. He is out on bail at the moment and is scheduled to appear back in court on March 29th.

If convicted the rapper could server up 15 years in prison. The rapper was charged with assault after he allegedly stabbed Lance Rivera at the New York Kit Kat club on Dec. 1st of last year. The altercation broke out between Rivera and Jay-Z during a release party for Q-Tip. Jay-Z accused Rivera of distributing advanced bootleg copies of the rappers album Vol. 3...Life And Times Of S. Carter.
