Have an affinity for 80s style heavy metal? Interested in helping a good cause? What about a chance to be part of a major motion picture? If you live in the L.A. area clear your calendars for this Sat.  Official Press Release on the event is below.

On Saturday, May 13th, Concrete Marketing will host an 80s Heavy Metal Charity Party at the LA Sports Arena, to benefit the TJ Martell Foundation for pediatric AIDS research.  Not only will this charity event feature performances from some of your favorite hard rock stars (including Great White, W.A.S.P., Metal Shop and a rare performance by Vic & The Rattleheads), but the party will also be treated as an 80s Metal Costume Ball.  The event will be filmed for a scene in a major motion picture that tells the story of a young musician who becomes the lead singer of his all-time favorite band.  The movie is being directed by Stephen Herek (Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure) and stars Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston.  The film also features numerous real-life rock musicians.

In the tradition of classic Costume Balls, there will also be prizes for certain categories.  The person with the best 80s Metal costume will receive a $1000 cash prize and walk-on role in the film, and the Hottest Metal Babe will receive the same.  In addition, the first 500 people through the door will receive free t-shirts.  There will also be a raffle for a guitar autographed by the performing bands.

The action does not stop there, however! In true Metal form, the celebration continues even between the artists sets!  Attendees will be entertained by celebrity MCs (including C.C. Deville), Playboy Playmates (including Miss July 1996 Angel Boris, Miss April 1997 Kelly Monaco, Miss April 1999 Natalia Sokolova, and Miss July 1999 Jennifer Rovero), as well as the hottest exotic dancers the LA scene has to offer.  Fans will also be treated to rare Metal concert live film footage and vintage videos from the Golden Age of Metal!

The event will be presented by KLOS FM and will be covered extensively by both VH-1: The Rock Show and Farm Club!  Doors open at 6pm and the festivities are scheduled to begin at 7pm.

All proceeds for the event will be donated for pediatric AIDS research.  Concrete had held a similar Metal charity event last year in NYC, which raised in excess of $50,000! So come out and take part in what will surely be a historic event.
