David Lee Roth

Allstar news reported  last week that David Lee Roth  filed a lawsuit against the etailer VanHalenStore.com on Feb 15th.

According to the report, Roth is seeking injunctive relief against the website for fraudulently claiming to sell official Van Halen merchandise. Roth filed the lawsuit after the etailer failed to respond to a cease and desist order he issued on Oct 31, 2000.

In the lawsuit Roth states that VanHalenStore.com "represents that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of such merchandise is paid to Van Halen and its members. These representations are false and fraudulent; Roth, as a former and/or existing member of Van Halen, has never authorized the sale of 'official merchandise' by VanHalenStore.com and has never received any royalties or other sums from the sale of merchandise."

Rumor watchers will take special notice that the lawsuit names Roth as a former and/or existing member of Van Halen. Even now after over a year of speculation we still dont know if Roth is in or out, but we do know he is not happy with VanHalenStore.com.

KISS unveils Eric Singer in cat makeup

The official KISS website has released the first picture of Eric Singer in makeup. Singer has been brought into replace Peter Criss on the Japanese and Australian legs of the Farewell tour.

Singer who played with KISS prior to the reunion and remasking of the original lineup will appear with the band in Peter Crisss makeup and outfits as well as wearing a black wig to cover up his blond hair.

The decision to have Singer wear Crisss makeup and costumes has stirred quite a controversy among the KISS Army.

Bill Aucoin to help Enuff Znuff

Speaking of KISS, it has been reported on the official KISS website that their former manager has signed on to help Chicago hard rockers Enuff Znuff.

Aucoin managed KISS during their heyday in the 70s through Crazy Nights tour in 1987-88. The retired manager is said to be acting as a consultant to Enuff Znuff who released their 10th album, aptly titled "10",  late last year.

While Enuff Znuff has received overwhelming critical praise for their music and live performances including endorsements from KISSs frontman Paul Stanley and Led Zeppelins Robert Plant, they have remained an underground sensation attracting a solid fan base but have been unable to reclaim mainstream radio and MTV exposure since their ATCO debut in 1989.

It is hoped in Enuff Znuff circles that Aucoins knowledge and expertise will help the band reach a larger audience.

Crazy Town join Ozzfest 2001 lineup

The band that bowed out of the Ozzfest 2000 will return to the summer metal tour this year. Crazy Town will join the reunited Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Disturbed and Papa Roach on the 2001 outing of the Ozzfest
