We now know that Sevendust�s third album will be titled �Animosity� and will hit stores in late October. Some of the tracks that will appear on the new album are �Trust�, �Crucified�, �Leech� and �Follow�. An announcement for a supporting tour is expected soon.
System of a Down has settled on
�Toxicity� as the title of their sophomore album. The new disc will be
released on August 14th through American Recordings/Columbia Records. The
man behind the knobs for Toxicity was legendary producer Rick Rubin.
According to the band�s publicist the new CD, �
offers 14 brand new songs written by the
band that explore socio-political themes (�Prison Song�), serial killer
Charles Manson's point-of-view on the environment (�ATWA�), cocaine-addled
groupies (�Psycho�), and �Version 7.0� which includes the lyric �toxicity
of our city, of our city� which provided inspiration for the CD's title.
Other titles include �Deer Dance,� �Science,� �Jet Pilot,� �Needles,� �Aerials,�
'Shimmy,� �X,� �Forest,� �Bounce,� and �Suicide.��
Nickelback has completed work on
the follow-up to their US debut, �The State�. The band recorded 12
tracks for the new CD that has been titled �Silver Side Up�. An acoustic
version of one of the songs will be included on the album as a bonus track.
According to Roadrunner Records, final mixing of the album was expected
to wrap last week. "How You Remind Me" is the name of the first single
from �Silver Side Up�, the band will be shooting a video for the track
sometime this month.
