Axl Rose’s Guns N’ Roses have signed on to headline the third annual Summer Sonic, a two-day festival in Osaka, Japan on Aug. 17 and 18th. GNR will be on hand to headline the festival’s outdoor stage with Morrissey taking top billing on the indoor stage. 

Other artists scheduled to appear at the festival include No Doubt, the Offspring, NOFX, Sum 41, Andrew W.K., Disturbed, Hoobastank, Quarashi, Cornershop, the Hives, Ozma, and the Icarus Line

While Axl Rose retains the Guns N’ Roses name and is still working of the group’s as yet unreleased new album “Chinese Democracy”, former members of the group will reunite in Hollywood at a special benefit concert for former Ozzy Osbourne/Motley Crue drummer Randy Castillo. According to online reports Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum will take part in the tribute concert scheduled for April 29th at the Key Club in Hollywood. The concert will also include members of Motley Crue, Montrose and others with the show proceeds going to charity.
