Eminem, Nelly and Avril Top CD Sales For 2002.

Nielsen SoundScan, the entertainment industry's
data information system which tracks point-of-purchase sales of recorded
music products, has announced the top selling CDs of 2002 (Sales calculated
from 1/1/02 through 12/22/02.)
Eminem was the clear winner in 2003. His
latest release The Eminem Show logged sales of 7,420,840 units this year.
Nelly came in a not so close second by selling 4,757,876 units of his CD
Nellyville. Teen pop-rocker Avril Lavigne landed at No. 3 with
sales of 3,858,398 for her debut album Let Go.

Universal Music continues to dominate the
music market with 28.86 % of the market in 2002 compared to the 26.39 %
