A tribute concert is planned for February 24th in Liverpool, George Harrison�s hometown. Harrison died last November after a long battle with cancer. Feb. 24th would have been his 59th birthday.
The event will take place at the Liverpool Empire, however a roster was not available at press time. Proceeds from the concert will go to Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund.
Paul McCartney plans first tour in almost 10 years.
Paul McCartney announced yesterday during an appearance during the Superbowl half time show that he plans to launch a North American Tour in April. McCartney will be touring in support of his latest album �Driving Rain� which was released last November. A European tour is also planned in May.
This is the first tour for McCartney since 1993�s "Off the Ground Tour"
Paul said of the tour plans, "I'm very excited to be getting back on the road, playing with a new band and including in the show some songs that I haven't played live before".
More information about the tour is expected
soon but we do know that the tour will include 14 dates and will kick off
in California and conclude in New York.
