The UK release of their album, Highly Evolved made them the first Australian band to ever enter the UKs Top 5 with a debut album. Back at home they are sitting comfortably at #5 on the Australian charts.
The bands debut hit US stores last week courtesy of Capital Records and the numbers for the first week sales in the US have not been revealed yet, but Australian music magazine Undercover says that first week sales of CD are expected to come in somewhere around 50,000.
The Vines are currently touring North America in support of their debut album.
