The Clark County Coroners Office released
a statement today concerning autopsy results for the late bassist of The
Who, John Entwistle. According to the statement, an autopsy revealed that
a significant amount of cocaine was found in John Entwistles body. Clark
County authorities have officially ruled the death as an accident, stating
that Entwistle suffered a heart attack brought on by the use of cocaine.
The autopsy revealed that cocaine caused
a contraction of Entwistle's coronary arteries, which the Coroners office
said had already suffered significant damage due to heart disease.
On June 27th, Entwistle was found dead
in his hotel room at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, just one day before
he was to begin a North American tour with The Who.
