Sharon Osbourne The Next Oprah?

After telling Barbara Walters that after their
commitment to this season of the Osbournes is fulfilled the family would
call it quits from the hit MTV show, Sharon Osbourne now appears to have
plans to remain on TV, except this time as a talk show host.
Variety spoke with Sharon and the Osbourne
patriarch told the reporter that she has inked a development deal with
Telepictures Productions for a syndicated talk show. Osbourne joked with
the reporter that they could call it Shaaaaarrron! in honor of Ozzys
many cries out to his wife shown in the familys reality show.
The details of the planned show are still
a bit sparse at press time but from what Sharon told Variety it appears
that she and Telepictures Productions plan to launch a single issue talk
show for syndication in the fall of 2003.
