Movie house curtains: Motley Crues Nikki Sixx is reportedly currently in negotiation with Paramount and MTV for a Motley Crue Movie. Details are a bit shaky at press time but it would appear that the film will be based on the groups hit autobiography The Dirt.
Gene Simmons of KISS fame was the first to express interest in putting the Motley story on the big screen but it is unclear if he is involved with the project at this point.
According to metal music news site Blabbermouth, Nikki also said while discussing the film that it will be curtains for the Crue as well with the band planning a farewell tour and riding off into the sunset. If all goes well, there will be a farewell tour, said Sixx of the bio-pic and future of Motley Crue.
Nikki Sixx wont have to look far for new work once the Crue calls it a day. He is currently putting together a new band with Tracii Guns of L.A. Guns fame (for those who do not know, Tracii is the guns in Guns N Roses, he left Axl and the group in the early days over creative differences and reformed his own band L.A. Guns).
The new Sixx/Guns project is tentatively going under the name Cockstar according to Tracii. Rounding out the line-up of Cockstar is L.A. Guns bassist Adam Hamilton on keyboards and second guitar, Adema (former videodrone) drummer Kris Kohls and a lead singer named London.
L.A. Guns are just about to wrap up their summer tour and Tracii told fans on his message board that he has been writing material for the new group while on tour and the project will go into overdrive once hes off tour.
