musicNEWS:  Tony Hawk Taps Offspring, Devo and Social D For Music and Extreme Sports Tour

Skateboarding superstar Tony Hawk has put together a 20-city fall tour that will showcase music and Extreme Sports. The tour dubbed, "Boom Boom HuckJam Arena Tour 2002," kicks off in Portland  OR  on October 9th and will run through mid-November. 

Hawk has lined up a number of bands to play the tour including The Offspring, Devo and Social Distortion.  Each leg of the tour will feature different bands, here is a partial itinerary as it stands at press time:
 

  • The Offspring - Oct. 10-13
  • Face to Face - Oct. 17-20
  • Devo - Oct. 24-26 
  • CKY - Oct.30-Nov. 3
  • Social Distortion - Nov. 7-11
  • Good Charlotte - Nov. 14-17


The tour will also showcase extreme sports where skateboarders, BMX’ers and Motocross pro’s will show their talents on a million dollar extreme sports ramp system that was designed by Hawk. 

Several star athletes are expected to participate in the tour as well.
