The Smashing Pumpkins new studio record is due to hit stores in Feb. 2000. The bands last album Adore was released in 1998.
For this album the band has reunited with their original drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. Jimmy has been away from the band for the past three years due to his drug problem.
The new album is as yet un-named but we do know that Flood who produced the bands Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness has returned to produce the new album.
Earlier in the year front man Billy Corgan said that he will incorporate a lot of classic rock into the Pumpkins sound, he named the band Mountain as a major influence.
Pumpkin Fans who don't want to wait for the new record can hear Billy play as a guest guitarist on a cheap Trick cover of everything works if you let it on the latest Enuff Z'nuff album Paraphernalia.
According Enuff Z'nuff's bassist Chip Z'nuff Billy Recorded another song with the Chicago hard rock band which didn't make the record, but knowing Enuff Z'nuff the song will see the light on day.
