Will Gregory added, "I think writing an album is like being lost in a wood. You're trying to figure out an interesting path. Brantley Gilbert Says Keith Urban Saved His Life

(Radio.com) Brantley Gilbert credits Keith Urban with helping him get sober and helping him stay alive. Speaking with The Tennessean Gilbert recounts how Urban's counsel helped him turn his life around.

'I told him, I don't think I can do my job. I don't know if I can ever play a song at my shows without being (messed) up," said Gilbert. "Or writing, I was worried my songs wouldn't be the same, that I wouldn't be on everyone else's level."

Urban, a former addict, apparently confessed to similar fears but told Gilbert that he was a better performer, writer, and person without drugs and alcohol. "If it weren't for him, I don't know if I'd be sober or be in this business anymore. I'd probably be dead." Read more here.

D.A. Stern Releases Albert Brooks Inspired 'Miami' Video

D.A. Stern has released a new Albert Brooks inspired music video for the track "Miami." The song comes from his forthcoming album "Aloha Hola", which will be released on January 27th.

Stern had this to say, "I am a huge Albert Brooks fan and Real Life might be my favorite of his movies. It's basically about a filmmaker, played by Brooks, who plans to make a feature out of footage he shoots of a real American family during their day-to-day lives; naturally, everything goes wrong.

"The hilarious and beautiful montage that occurs during one of the family's happier spells depicts a typical all-American family living an all-American dream in slow-motion, yet we are aware that this is not the truth. Beneath all of the smiles, ice cream cones, and board games, this family is being pushed to their limits by a selfish man with a vision. The idea that not everything is as it seems and that things are different below the surface ties directly into what the song Miami is about." Watch the video here.
