Las Vegas Shooting Survivors Want Jason Aldean to Finish Concert

(Radio.com) A group of Jason Aldean fans who survived the tragic Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas have banded together to present him with a gift and a request: finish the show.

Tiffany Thomas, who was at the concert when shots rang out, was inspired to start a Facebook group--'58 Survivors 1 Last Set"--for fellow survivors of the horrific event.

"After it happened, all I could think about was Jason Aldean," Thomas told 13 Action News in Vegas about that fateful night. 'I kept thinking like he was up there, he was on that stage, he was singing for us."

Another Route 91 survivor, Gina McKin, joined the group, and soon the women had an idea: a Shutterfly book that they would make specifically for Aldean.

The 91-page book is loaded with photos from the event before the shooting destroyed the festival and so many lives of those in attendance. The ladies are sending the book and some other gifts along to Aldean with the request for Aldean to return to Vegas for a special show for Route 91 survivors and the families of the victims. Ed Sheeran Helps Sick Fan Raise Funds

(Radio.com) Ed Sheeran has lent his support to a fan with an incurable disease called Rett Syndrome. The "Shape of You" singer donated a guitar to raise funds for 11-year-old Melody Driscoll, whose illness has left her in chronic pain.

The girl's family are currently embroiled in a legal battle for her right to pain medication, which hospital staff said could damage her liver. Ed met Melody when he agreed to spend time with her in the hospital two years ago. Since then, the legal trouble around her medication has increased strain on her family, reports NME. Melody's parents say access to pain medication will help improve their daughter's quality of life.

"I'd rather Melody had one more year filled with happiness than five years of pain," Melody's mother Karina Driscoll told The Mirror. "It's only now we realize how few rights we have as parents but we won't give up."

Rett Syndrome affects a victim's ability to speak, walk, eat and breathe easily, and is marked by "near constant repetitive hand movements while awake."

The Driscolls will raffle off Sheeran's guitar to help offset their expenses. Read more here.

Lana Del Rey Reveals Cover For Andrew Lloyd Webber Tribute Album

(Radio.com) Lana Del Rey is a karaoke queen, mystic and maybe (almost definitely) a witch. She's also a massive fan of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, who's created Broadway classics like Cats, Phantom Of The Opera and Jesus Christ Superstar.

To celebrate the playwright and composer's 70th birthday, Lana participated in Unmasked: The Platinum Collection--a compilation of covers from Webber's extensive catalog of show tunes.

For the album, Lana recorded "You Must Love Me," originally written for the film version of Evita which starred Madonna. Webber won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the track and Madonna has performed the song on a number of subsequent world tours. On the record, Lana brings her signature breathy, cinematic flair to the stirring ballad.

The singer called making the record in honor of Sir Andrew "a dream."

"Andrew Lloyd Webber has been one of my primary inspirations in music, so to do a cover of one of his songs is a dream," she said. 'I especially love this particular song, You Must Love Me, because of how unique the melody is. I've been incredibly inspired by all of Andrew's work from Phantom of the Opera to Evita."
