2014 Vans Warped Tour
The 8 side stages held almost endless amounts of choices. Bands like Ghost Town, Plague Vendor, Issues and another relative newcomer Pacific Dub leaving its mark on the tour. I have to put my fist in the air for Pacific Dub. A great rock outfit needs a place to display their talents. They are what Warped Tour was made for. A lot of the side stage acts really hold their own in a big way and Pacific Dub is a great example of that. If you do go check out the tour in a town near you, make sure to look up Pacific Dub. They are absolutely worth putting on the watch and listen for list.
If you do get a chance to hit up the Vans Warped Tour this year, don't forget to check out a lot of the Non-Profit Organizations' tents around the venue. One to keep an eye for is - is To Write Love On Her Arms - aka; www.twloha.com. A great organization dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
As mentioned earlier, this is Vans Warped Tour's 20th year. A great accomplishment for them. The folks over at Vans show great care in how the tour is presented to the fans and have created a venue that has something for everyone. There is even a stage dedicated to "all acoustic" artists. So if you are looking for things to do this summer, find out when the 2014 Vans Warped Tour when will be in a neighborhood near you and go. Have a great summer and don't forget the sunscreen.
